Das Schemenkabinett ist mit einem englischsprachigen Vortrag beim diesjährigen Wave-Gotik-Treffen dabei.

Im Rahmen des 28. Wave-Gotik-Treffens in Leipzig findet am 9. und 10. Juni 2019 die Veranstaltungsreihe „Gothic Identity: History, divergence, diversity and expression“ mit englischsprachigen Vorträgen und Podiumsdiskussionen zu diversen historischen und aktuellen Themen statt. Das Schemenkabinett ist am 9. Juni um 12:15 Uhr mit einem Vortrag über Tiere, die mit Tod und Jenseits in Verbindung gebracht werden, dabei. Und natürlich werden auch die biologischen Hintergründe beleuchtet, die dazu geführt haben, dass bestimmte Tierarten als Mittler zwischen der Welt der Lebenden und der Toten gelten. Der Veranstaltungsort ist das Stadtgeschichtliche Museum Leipzig im Alten Rathaus (Markt 1, 04109 Leipzig). Mit einem Bändchen für das diesjährige Wave-Gotik-Treffen oder Gothic Pogo Festival ist der Eintritt frei; Besucher ohne Bändchen zahlen den regulären Eintrittspreis des Museums.

Ritual, physical ordeals, adorning, performance, art and personal journeys; how a personal path was illuminated from the exploration of a private darkness.
